I love books and I love getting stuff in the mail. And it’s even better when it’s a surprise.
Well, this month was full of surprises!
First, I got these in the mail from Rob, my bestest BFF ever (whom I originally met through BookCrossing, so he’s a book lover like me):
Trial and Error by Anthony Berkeley
He’d told me about this book he was reading and how the protagonist found out that he’s only got a few months to live. He decided to do something good for humanity by killing off the most obnoxious person he could find before he died. Unfortunately, someone else was arrested for his crime, and so the protagonist has to prove that he is the killer before he dies and an innocent person has to pay for his crime.
I thought it was fascinating and told Rob so, and he thoughtfully decided to surprise me with it. *heart*
More Trees to Climb by Ben Moor
I don’t really know what this book is about, but the few Goodreads reviews make it sound really interesting.
The Eagle and the Rose by Rosemary Altea
The true experiences of a medium and a healer. We all know how much I enjoy reading about people’s spiritual journeys.
Thank you, Rob. So much xoxoxox for you!
Next, I got a package in the mail with lots of goodies from the Rhythm N’ Groove group. Michelle was the instigator apparently (you are the best, Michelle!), and she, Christine, and Steve (I love you guys so much, Christine and Steve!) contributed the most to the goodies.
Everyone else contributed to the cards and the well-wishes too, so we felt the love. Thank you all so much, guys. We love you all!
Check out the goodies:
Fabric I can use for my sewing projects, patterned tissues for Halloween and celebrations, a note pad because I love taking notes, cute straws, and melted chocolates! *g*
You can never get too much of a good thing. I love Calgary!
Stuff specially for Lone: Snowmen and guitars
Last but not least, these wonderful and thoughtful cards from our beloved friends. Thank you all so much! Lone and I are so grateful and humbled to have friends like you. So much love!
